We always take pride in getting to the bottom of things for our clients here at Nu You Aesthetics, and it’s clear that lots of people have been thinking about bums in recent times – not least due to the popularity of shows like Love Island that have frequently had plenty of them on show.
Indeed, clinics around the UK and beyond have seen a many-fold increase in enquiries about bum lifts in response to such programmes, while reality-TV celebrities like Kim Kardashian have also been central in the trend.
It seems that great numbers of us want a tighter and more pert behind, with some determined women going beyond even dieting and exercise, by having what is known as a surgical ‘Brazilian bum lift’ (‘BBL’) performed.
What is a Brazilian bum lift?
Sadly, surgical Brazilian bum lifts – which involve fat being taken from the stomach and injected into the buttocks – have been in the news for all of the worst reasons lately.
We were as devastated as everyone else to read the recent tragic news about 29-year-old Leeds mum Leah Cambridge, who died after reportedly having the procedure done at a Turkish clinic.
It prompted one top surgeon to describe the treatment as the “deadliest cosmetic procedure”, with a survey of 692 surgeons around the world last year having found that 32 patients had died from a condition known as a fat embolism, where the injected fat travels to parts of the body other than that intended. There were an additional 103 non-fatal cases.
While such stories and statistics are undoubtedly horrifying, here at Nu You Aesthetics, we are sharing them to make a very important point: that if you pursue risky cosmetic surgery in the hope of the perfect behind, you can’t ever completely rule out paying with your life.
Thankfully, there is an infinitely safer alternative…
The great news is that you really don’t need to put yourself in such grave danger simply to give yourself a butt worthy of the most toned and pert Love Island stars. In fact, there is a very reputable non-surgical alternative that we are delighted to be able to provide here at Nu You Aesthetics, not least because it has a track record of producing consistently brilliant results.
We are referring, of course, to our own Lipofirm Pro non-surgical bum lifts. It’s the same procedure that the likes of Katie Price, former The Only Way is Essex star Ferne McCann and glamour model Bianca Gascoigne have undergone.
The treatment’s effectiveness is all due to its distinctive use of two technologies in unison: TriLipo Radiofrequency (Tripolar RF or TRF) and TriLipo Dynamic Muscle Activation (DMA).
How does the procedure work?
While trying not to get too technical, let’s outline how the aforementioned respective technologies work their magic to produce such beautiful non-surgical bum lifts.
It’s the TRF technology that is instrumental in heating the dermis (skin) and underlying tissues – including fat – in a manner that is both even and safe. Fat cells have a metabolic centre known as the mitochondria, and the TRF fools these into thinking that more energy is needed.
This results in the mitochondria beginning to convert the bum’s bad fats – also known as Triglycerides – into diglycerides, which are capable of moving out of the cell so that the body’s lymphatic (drainage) system can remove them.
DMA, meanwhile, stimulates muscles to push fat cells upwards against the downward pressure exerted by the device applicator used in the procedure. Such opposing forces have the effect of ‘squeezing’ the fat cells, which in turn, encourages fat removal.
The heating of the dermis during the Lipofirm Pro procedure leads the collagen fibres in the bum to contract, leaving a tighter, smoother and lifted behind – all while avoiding the health risks associated with surgical Brazilian bum lifts.
A bum lift that’s worth the hype!
With the likes of model Rhian Sudgen and former Ex on the Beach and Celebrity Big Brother favourite Chloe Goodman having also been open about their use of the procedure, it’s fair to say there’s no shortage of famous fans of the Lipofirm Pro non-surgical bum lift. It may well be the best way, other than dieting and exercise, of shaping and firming your way to a better butt.
